5Connect small black test lead to body of condenser6Press the red button and observe meter pointer on the "CONDENSER CAPACITY" scale7Condenser capacity should be 18 minimum to 23 maximum If not, replace the condenser8Turn selector knob to "OFF" and test condenser for leakage or shortTest Condenser for Leakage or ShortTo perform this test, proceed as follows :
Leave test leads connected as shown Figure 3Figure 2Removing Condenser

9Turn selector knob to "CONDENSER LEAKAGE OR SHORT" position10Press red button and observe meter pointer for at least 15 seconds Pointer should move to the right and return all the way to the left on theCONDENSER LEAKAGE OR SHORT" scale If pointer does not returnreplace condenser11 Turn selector knob to "OFF", remove tester leads and test condenser series resistance Test Condenser Series ResistanceTo perform this test, proceed as follows12Place selector knob inCONDENSER SERIES RESISTANCE" position 13Clip the small black test Lead and the small red test lead togetherTurn meter set knob until meter pointer lines up with set scales on right-hand side of meterDisconnect leads This will set the meter 14Connect small red test lead to condenser lead 15Connect small black test lead to condenser body16Meter must remain in the green area on the right- hand side of the "CONDENSER SERIES RESISTANCE" scale
