DescriptionThe C-D stator is simp.ly long wire wound around six pole pieces It is mounted under the flywheel where the generating magnet can rotate around the poles RemovalTo remove the C-D stator for inspection for replacementproceed as follows1Remove flywheelsee "FlywheelRemoval "2Disconnect the stator leads at the connectors 3Remove the two screws retaining the stator to the trigger stator4Remove C-D statorCleaning And InspectionUse brush or compressed air to clean the stator windingspoles and laminationsClean dirty pole laminations with No400 or finer sand paperInspect for loose connections or burnt insulation at the point where the lead wires connect to poles
