TUNE-UP GeneralAny time motor is brought in for tuneup, talk to the owner about the general performance of the motorWhat, if any, specific problems he is having; and what size and type boat the motor is used on Write this information on the work orderIf the motor is under warranty, check the owner's Registration Card for validity Prior to proceeding with the tune-upcheck your service bulletin collection for possible changes andor tips applicable to this motorTune-Up Check ListCheck the motor visually for any obvious damageConsult the troubleshooting chart for aid in diagnosing Begin systematic tuneup procedure as follows1REMOVE AND INSPECT PLUGSClean or replace as necessary; if problem is suspectedrefer to page 55 for detailed information2INSPECT AND TEST C-D MODULES AND C-D STATOR Check for spark at both cylinders
