6-1Removing Connecting Rod Needle Bearings
ARemove flywheel as outlined in Section IV, paragraph 2-2BRemove magneto stator as outlined in Section VI, paragraph 3-1
CRemove powerhead as outlined in Section XI, paragraph 1-1DRemove carburetor adapter as outlined in Section XI, paragraph 5-1

CUse stud remover or two nuts to remove studs from adapterThread two nuts on stud and tighten them against each otherUse lower nut to unscrew stud
EDrive out two locating pins using pin punch (Special Tool T8919) as shown in figure 8

AApply sealant (Special Tool T8983) to threads of studsInstall studs with stud installer or use method described in previous paragraphBPlace gasket and carburetor adapter on crankcase cover as shown in figure 7Apply sealant (Special Tool T8983) to threads of lower mounting screwsInstall screws and tighten securely
