APlace seal on bearing cage with spring lip facing downUse seal installer (Special Tool T2915) to install seal (as shown in figure 10)Case of seal should be flush with surface of bearing cage
CPull shift pin from propeller shaft assembly as shown in figure 11

APlace shift pin in bore of propeller shaft with round end outRefer to figure 11
Support bearing cage with wood blocks to prevent damage to bronze bearingBSlide bearing cage with seal on propeller shaft
BInstall propeller shaft assembly in gear housingCInstall propeller shaft bearing cage as outlined in Section VIII, paragraph 3-2
CInstall propeller shaft bearing cage retainer and "0" ring seal as outlined in Section VIII, paragraph 2-2
