ARemove engine cover-upper as outlined in Section IV, paragraph 1-1BDrain fuel from fuel tankCRemove starter assembly from fuel tankDUse hose clamp pliers (Special Tool T8900) to slide hose clamp from fuel tank fittingUse fingers to pull hose off fitting

Do not us-e hose clamp pliers to pull hose from fitting because pliers may puncture hoseERemove two screws and lockwashers securing fuel tank bracket forward to carburetor adapter as shown in figure 1
