1-1 Removing Starter Relay
(black tip), and nut on lower post of relayEInstall white-striped red lead, lockwasher, positive battery lead (red tip) and nut on upper post of relayFConnect battery leads to battery terminals2CHOKE SOLENOID 03-51
2-1 Removing Choke Solenoid
ADisconnect battery leads from batteryBRemove nuts, leads, and lockwashers from terminal posts of starter relayCRemove two (2) screws securing starter relay to starter bracket and remove starter relay (see figure 1)
ADisconnect battery leads from batteryBRemove carburetor as outlined in Section V, paragraph 1-1CRemove puddle drain hose from fitting on underside of crankcase coverDRemove nut and green lead from post on side of choke solenoidERemove two (2) screws securing solenoid bracket to crankcase coverSee figure 2
