BApply Loctite "H" (Special Tool T2962) sparingly to outside diameter of shift rod sealCPlace seal on installer (Special Tool T8957) with raised bead against shoulder of toolPress seal in bore in top of gear housing-upper until seal is flush with surface (see figure 8)
EApply grease (Special Tool T2961) between lips of dri veshaft seal and place seal on installer (Special Tool T8972) with rubber coated side against shoulder of toolFDrive seal into bore in gear housing-upper until it bottoms (see figure 10)
