ADrain lower unit by removing both "fill" and "vent" plug screws if unit is to be disassembledBRemove four (4) hex head screws and lockwashers securing gear housing upper to motor leg (motor leg extension on long leg motors)CRemove cotter pin securing shift rod pin to coupler of shift rod intermediateRemove shift rod pin to free shift rod-lower from coupler and pull lower unit from motor leg1-2 Installing Lower Unit
