ASet power head in place on motor leg BSecure power head with six (6) screwsTorque to 160 in Ibs(185 kg cm) Figure 15

5Adjust shift linkage as followsAInstall coupling so that it threads on to each rod at least 1 4" BShift toward forward gear while turning propeller by hand until clutch dogs begin to click against forward gear Mark this position on shift rod where it comes out of motor leg Figure 16 (middle) CFollow the same steps for reverse gear and mark shift rod again DMake another mark (for neutral) halfway between the marks for forward and reverse EAdjust coupling until detent on gear shift lever is in neutral positionwhen neutral mark on shift rod is lined up with motor leg Figure 16
