OPERATION
Pulling the starter rope turns the rotor clockwise (looking from top) Prongs on spring (starter pawl plate spring) keep the pawl plate assembly from moving, for momentThis moves the levers of the pawl plate assembly off center so that they engage the flywheelThe flywheel is turnedproviding starting force
