CRemove (forward) bearing from bore in kingpin mounting plate7Disassemble throttle linkage as follows:
BInstall magneto control lever with two (2) washers and secure loosely with stop nutCSnap throttle cam rod onto throttle cam and magneto control leverFigure 7
ADisconnect throttle cam rod from magneto control lever and throttle camFigure 6BRemove throttle cam by removing nut and two (2) bearings that secure cam to stud Figure 6
Inspection and Repair
Exploded view of steering handle assembly is shown at the end of this section 1Inspect throttle cam assembly as follows :
AReplace the following parts if they are bent: throttle cam stud, cam, and rod BCheck throttle cam bearing for wear or damage 2Inspect the two (2) ball jOint assemblies for wear and damage3Replace the following parts of the magneto control lever assembly if they are bent: magneto control lever, magneto control shaft link (shorter link), magneto stator link, magneto control lever stud and rod end connector stud4Inspect steering handle as follows:
