3Meter resistance reading should be .48.54 ohms 4If readings are high or low, replace the coilTurn selector knob to "OFF" Remove test leads and test secondary continuity5Turn selector knob toCOIL CONTINUITY" position Figure 156Clip the small red test lead and the small black test lead togetherTurn meter set knob until meter pointer lines up with set scale on right-hand side of meterThis sets the meter7Connect small red test to the spark plug lead 8Connect small black test lead to either primary terminal9Test meter should read 13,50016,500 ohms on the top of theCOIL CONTINUITY" scaleIf readings are high or lowreplace the coil10Remove the test leads from coil and turn selector knob toOFF" BInstall coil with wedge spring halfway on laminations; then route spark plug lead wire under spring of breaker
