1Connect analyzer large red lead to the secondary coil lead2Connect analyzer red test lead to either primary coil terminalFigure 11Removing Sparkie Cover and Spring
3Connect analyzer black test lead to remaining primary coil terminal4Make sure current control knob is onLO ", and turn selector knob toCOIL POWER TEST" position 5Slowly turn current control knob clockwise until meter pointer shows 1.5 on theCOIL POWER TEST" scale At this time, the spark gap should be firing steadily6Return the current control knob toLaand turn selector knob toOFF" If spark gap was firing steadily, the coil is good Leave the tester connected and test the coil high speed If spark gap was not firing steadily, replace the coil
