1With engine running connect ammeter between positive (+) battery cable and positive (+) battery terminal2Reading should be amps (minimum) 3500 R.P .M cut-in R.P .Mis 1800 R.P.M amp minimumshould be seen at 2000 R.P.M 3With engine not running, disconnect stator leads (greenyellow stripe) from rectifier, connect ohmmeter, low ohms scale or 2938-1 continuity tester in series with statorIf tester- lights or ohm reading is 1.5 .5 ohms stator is good Test #4Testing rectifierEquipment: ohmmeter or 2938-1 continuity tester1Disconnect all leads to rectifier
