FLYWHEEL DescriptionThe flywheel contains two (2) sets of magnetic rings The generating magnets are located around the outer circumference of the flywheelThe timing magnets are located at the hub of the flywheel1Disconnect battery2Remove hand starter housing as follows :
BDisconnect electrical components bracket by removing the remaining three (3) screws that hold it to the power head Figure 10CRemove housing 3Remove flywheel as followsARemove nut securing flywheel to crankshaftBRemove emergency starter collarCThread knock -off nutSpecial Tool NoT 2909)on crankshaft as far as it will go, then bac nut off two (2) full turns DSlide flywheel wedge (T 2989) between flywhee and top of power head
