Removal 1Disconnect choke rod as follows:

2Slide fuel line clamp down fuel line about one inch, using hose clamp pliers, Special Tool NoT 8900and pull fuel line from carburetor
AHand Start ModelsRemove E-ringwasher and choke rod from choke leverFigure 18BElectric Start ModelsLoosen screw securing choke solenoid rod to choke lever; and slide rod from choke leverFigure 19
CAUTION
Do not use hose clamp pliers to pull hose off fitting Pliers can puncture hose3Remove two (2) nuts securing carburetor to adapter flange; and remove carburetor and gasket Figure 20
OVERHAUL
A repair kit is availableIt includesbody channel cup plug, body channel welch plugchoke shaft return springfloat lever pin, idle mixture screw springinlet needle seat and gasketthrottle shaft return spring, and throttle shutter retaining screw and lockwasher gasket set is also available Disassembly and Inspection.Clean and inspect each part of the carburetor as it is taken apart
