2Inspect power trim cylinder assembly as follows :
AClean all parts in approved solventBInspect cylinder, piston and bore in cover for wearClnspect seals (piston shaft seal, piston sealand cylinder seal) for dirt, nicks, cracking or other damage3Check shock absorber for leaks, damage
Shock absorber must be replaced as ar:J assembly4Check to see that hydraulic lines and fittings are not bent or damaged
Reassembly and InstallationCylinder Housing Assembly
1Reassemble power trim cylinder as follows:

BInspect O-rings for chips, dirt or cuts CInspect bushing in eye of cylinderDInspect head, piston assemblies for wearECheck piston and shaft assembly If shaft is not tight in pistonremove shaft and clean threaded end Apply Loctite to threads, Special Tool NoT 2962and screw shaft into piston Figure 32
