BTap handle of screwdriver with handrelease retaining rings from groove in gear housing 18Remove bearing cage assembly as follows :
AInstall prop shaft bearing spool in gear housing (with O-ring seals removed) 8948-1
BSecure spool to bearing cage with two (2) screws Install puller (Special Tool No 8948-1) Figure 20

14Shift unit into either forward or reverse gear and turn driveshaft so that the puller unthreads itself from the prop shaft This pulls the spool out of the gear housing 15 Remove O-ring seals from propeller shaft spool16 Remove propeller shaft seal from spool using spring pin punch (Special Tool No 8919) Figure 1917Remove two (2) retaining rings from gear
