7Remove O-ring seal from groove in gear housing cover and O-ring seal from groove in driveshaft bea ring cageFigure 148Pry driveshaft seal from bore in gear housing cover Figure 14
9Remove shift rod seal as follows :
AThread 5 16" diameter lag screw in shift rod seal
BPress seal and lag screw out of cover by using press and 1 4" diameter rodFigure 1510Turn lower shift rod counterclockwise until shift rod threads out of shift arm coupling Pull shift rod from gear housing 11 Remove two (2) screws securing anode to pro peller shaft spool and remove anodeFigure 16
