DInstall rod cap on connecting rod so that ground part on cap meets ground part of rod Figure 49EInstall screws and torque to 15 in Ibs(1 7.5 kg cm) 9Check for offset as follows: ARun sharp lead pencil lightly over ground area Figure 49 BIf pencil stops at fracture pointthere is offsetLoosen screwsretorque and check again fo offsetClf offset is present, replace connecting rod
Check for offset on all four (4) rods
