Refer to specification section for dimensions1Remove carbon from exhaust ports and all exhaust passagesusing cleaning solution or rotary brush Special Tool NoT 2991
CResurface cylinder head, if it is only slightly warpedlay sheet of No120 emery cloth on the glass and slide cover around in figure motionexerting light and even pressure DExamine gasket surface areahigh spots will be dulllow spots unchanged Continue until entire gasket surface has dull finishFinish off with No 180 emery cloth Figure 31
Carbon build up restricts exhaust gases and greatly reduces engine performance2Clean all dried cement off gasket surfaces with lacquer thinner
