EReconnect battery CHOKE SOLENOID

1Remove hex nut securing green wire to terminal post of choke solenoid

ECheck choke operation by pushing down on plunger with screwdriver until it bottoms in the solenoidThe choke shutter should only be open enough to allow the paper to be pulled out Figure 28 If not, reposition solenoid and recheck Figure 26Removing Choke Solenoid
2Remove two (2) hex head screws securing solenoid to bracket and remove clampRemove choke solenoid by pulling it away from plunger3Remove band securing wire to solenoidTesting and RepairEquipment: Ohmmeter (R Scale)
1Place positive test lead on terminal of solenoid Place negative lead on solenoid case Meter should indicate 0.51.35 ohmsIf notpart is defective and must be replacedInstallation
