STARTER MOTOR TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
If your test results shows:
1Low cranking speed and higher than normal current draw
The probable cause could be:
A Loose pole shoes
BGrounded armature Shorted armature DShorted ie ld
2Very high current draw and no armature rotation
ADirect ground at ignition switch
B Direct ground at starter brushes CDirect ground on fie ld con nections
3No current draw and starter fails to operateIgnition switch
BBroken or loose wire connections Inter lock sw itch (defective) DRemote controls improper ly adjustedDirty brushes or commutator
