BATTERY DescriptionThe dry charge (without electrolyte) battery used with the 100, 115140 .Poutboard motor should have rating of 70 amp hours minimum Before putting new dry charge battery in service it must be activated
Electrolyte is made up of sulfuric acid and pure waterApproximately 35 percent by weight or 24 percent by volume is acid
Always store batteries and acid in dry area at 60 to 90 F
WARNING

Never add pure sulfuric acid to battery
Activation Procedure
Slow ChargeSlow charging is the preferred method of charging battery The slow charge method may be safely usedregardless of charge condition of the batteryprovided the electrolyte is at the proper level in all cells and is not frozen
