2Inspect crankshaft and flywheel tapers fo fretting and working If there is evidence of this condition, the flywheel bore must be lapped 3Lap flywheel as follows:
AApply light coating of water base valve lapping compound (240 grit or finer) to tapered portion of cran kshaft BInstall flywheel on crankshaft and rotate flywheel several times gently back and forth about 1 turn Do not spin flywheel completely around crankshaftFigure 7C Turn flywheel 114 turn to new position and repeat Step BFigure 7
