DConnect white black striped lead and blue lead to stud terminals on housing and secure with lockwasher and hex nut7Install distributor belt as follows :
ASlip belt over crankshaftBInstall flywheel, as outlined in this section CSlip belt over pulley and adjust belt tension, as outlined under Timing8Connect battery leads to batteryFigure 45Installing Timing Tool
1Disconnect battery leads from battery terminals 2Remove all spark plugs 3Check position of timing decal on flywheelTDC mark on decal must line up on top of the line of flywheelIf it does notreposition or replace decalSee Figure 32 Check by pressing down on decal with sharp object until the line can be detected under the decal
5Find Top Dead Center as follows :

AHold rod tightly against piston and rotate crankshaft clockwise two full turns and stop at top dead center (TDC) This is where timing tool rod completely stops moving BScrew barrel of the timing tool in or out until inside line of the timing rod lines up with edge of barrelFigure 46
