8Test each terminal individually and remember to reconnect the wire you 've just testedIf you don't, you will have an open circuit and will not be able to tell if there is leakage from any of the other terminals9Remove the coil output wire which goes from the
coil to the distributor and ground the coil end of it by using separate jumper wire Attach one end of the jumper wire to the end of the coil output wire and the other end to good engine ground The distributor cap is still removed in this part of the test Figure 24 10With insulated tongstake the 12" spark plug test wire that's still in the coil and hold it about 1 4" from the center terminal base of the distributor cap Figure 25 11 Spin the pulleyA spark from the test wire to the distributor cap will tell you that there is strong continuity at this point
