DESCRIPTION
The reed valve is located between the carburetor and the crankcase of the motor The reed valves time the injection of the fuel mi xture from the carburetors into the crankcase by opening only when the pressure in the crankcase has dropped to predetermined point on the compression strokeThe reeds are designed to maintain constant contact with the reed plate until pressure changes within the crankcase occurReed travel away fromthe plate is limited by the reed stopWhen crankcase pressure increasesthe built-in spring action the reeds returns and holds them against the plate
