15-4 STORAGE Preparation for Storage
Reconnect the primary ignition coil lead connectorsnoting the #1 ,#4 [A] and the #2#3 [B] coil connectorsThe #1#4 coil connector has redyellow and greenblue leads from the main harnessThe #2#3 coil connector has redyellow and greenblack leads from the main harness
o The service codes
(COIL and COIL2) caused by this procedure are stored in the ECUIf necessary, these service codes can be erased by using the Kawasaki Diagnostic System (KDS)
Battery
Give refresh charge before you store the watercraft and store it with the negative lead removed Give refresh charge once month during storage Remove the battery (see Electrical System in Periodic Maintenance chapter) Clean the exterior with solution of baking soda and water (one heaping tablespoon of baking soda in one cup of water) Rinse thoroughly with water
CAUTION
Do not allow any soda solution to enter the battery Coat both battery terminals with grease Store the battery in cooldry placeDo not expose it to freezing temperatures
