14-28 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Electric Starter System
Starter Motor Disassembly
Remove the starter motor (see Starter Motor Removal) Take off the starter motor through bolts [A] and remove both end covers [B] and pull the armature out of the yoke [C]

Remove the terminal locknut [A] and terminal bolt [B] and then remove the brush with the brush plate [C] from the yoke
Starter Motor Assembly
Apply thin coat of grease to the oil seal [A] Fit the toothed washer [B] into the end cover
