STEERING 12-5 Steering Cable
Steering Cable Adjustment
Check the steering cable adjustmentOCenter the handlebar in the straight-ahead position
Check that the steering nozzle [A] is centered in the pump cavityOThe same distance [8]
If necessary, adjust the steering cable OLoosen the locknut [A] on the end of the steering cable located to the right of the steering nozzleOTake out the cable joint bolt [8] and disconnect the cable joint [C] from the steering nozzleOCenter the handlebar in straight ahead steering position OTurn the joint on the cable to adjust the steeringThe steering cable rod end must be inserted to the joint minimum of mm (0.2 inOTemporarily tighten the cable joint bolt, and connect the joint with the nozzle and check cable adjustment againOWhen adjustment is correct, unscrew the cable joint bolt and apply non-permanent locking agent to itAnd tighten the cable joint bolt and the steering cable locknut securelyTorqueCable Joint Bolt: 9.8 Nm (1.0 kgf.m, 87 inlb)
