COOLING AND BILGE SYSTEMS 9-17 After Submerging
Detailed Procedures after Submerging
1Ask the operator about the water level in the engine compartment2If the drive shaft is already submergeddrain the water from the drain screws at the stern Replace the pulley [AJ bearing (pulley assembly) and drain water in the supercharger [BJ (see Supercharger Disassembly and Assembly in the Fuel (DFI) System chapter)
3If the water level is below the drive shaft, drain the water from the drain screws and proceed the work in the following manners4Check the drain cap [BJ at the bottom of air box [AJ
5If there is water, drain water in the supercharger (see Supercharger Disassembly and Assembly in the Fuel (DFI) System chapter) since there is great possibility that water has entered the supercharger and the engineAlso, remove the drain plug [AJ on the inlet manifold and check that there is water in the inlet manifoldIf there is water, drain water in the supercharger (see Supercharger Disassembly and Assembly in the Fuel (DFI) System chapter) 6If there is no water in the air box and inlet manifoldcontinue the following steps7Disconnect the two connectors [AJ on the primary ignition leads located at the right front of the engine
