Crankshaft Removal
Split the crankcase (see Crankcase Splitting) RemoveCamshaft Chain [A] Oil Pump Sprocket Chain [B] Remove the crankshaft [C] with the oil seal [D]
Crankshaft Installation CAUTION
If the crankshaft, bearing inserts, or crankcase halves are replaced with new ones, select the bearing inserts and check clearance with plastigage before assembling engine to be sure the correct bearing inserts are installed Fit the crankshaft main bearing inserts on the upper [A] and lower [B] crankcase halves#1Bearing Inserts (no Groovesame) #2Bearing Inserts (Groove, same) #3 Bearing Insert (no Groove)
