5-8 EXHAUST SYSTEM Water Box Muffler

Tighten the clamp securing the front exhaust tube, noting its screw position, and check the hose routing and clamp screw position (see Cable, Wire and Hose Routing section in the Appendix chapter)
Water Box Muffler Inspection
Remove the left and right water box mufflers (JT1500B7F model) Remove the left water box muffler (JT1500B8FE9F IF9Fmodel) Empty water out of the water box Check the inlet spigot for damage caused by excessive heatIf there is heat damage to the inlet spigot, check the cooling system for blockage (see Cooling System Cleaning and Inspection) and the fuel system for proper adjustment (see Fuel System chapter)
