4-22 ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM Oil Pump Sprocket, Oil Pump and Oil Pressure Relief Valve
e Apply grease to the a-ring [A] Install the oil screen [8] eTighten:
TorqueOil Screen Bolts [C]: 7.8 Nm (0.80 kgfm69 inlb)
elnstall: Oil Pan (see Oil Pan Installation)
Oil Pressure Relief Valve Inspection
e RemoveOil Pan (see Oil Pan Removal) Relief Valve [A)
e Check to see if the valve [A] slides smoothly when pushing it in with wooden or other soft rodand see if it comes back to its seat by spring [8] force
O lnspect the valve in its assembled stateDisassembly and assembly may change the valve performanceco
If any rough spots are found during above inspectionwash the valve clean with high-flash point solvent and blowout any foreign particles that may be in the valve with compressed air
