Quickly install the fuel pressure gauge adapter [A] between the fuel supply pipe and the fuel supply hose Connect the pressure gauge [B] to the fuel pressure gauge adapterSpecial ToolsOil Pressure Gauge, kgfcm2: 57001-125 Fuel Pressure Gauge Adapter: 57001-1593 Fuel Hose: 57001-1607
A WARNING
Do not try to start the engine with the fuel hoses disconnected Start the engineand let it idle Measure the fuel pressure with the engine idling Fuel Pressure (idling) Standard: approx294 kPa (3.0 kgfcm 2, 43 psi)
If the fuel pressure is much higher than the specified ,check the followingFuel Hose from Gauge Adapter to Fuel Pump Return Pipe for Sharp BendKinkingor Clogg ing Fuel Pump If the fuel pressure is much lower than specified check the followingFuel Line Leakage Fuel Injectors Fuel Pump Amount of Fuel Flow (see Fuel Flow Rate Inspection)
