3-30 FUEL SYSTEM (OFI) Throttle Sensor (Service CodeCharacter-11tPS)
Disconnect the throttle sensor connector and connect the setting adapter [A] between the harness connector and throttle sensor connector Connect digital meter to the setting adapter leadsSpecial ToolThrottle Sensor Setting Adapter: -1521 Throttle Sensor Output Voltage Connections to Sensor Meter (+) Meter (-)

Measure the sensor output voltage with the idle speedOutput Voltage at Sensor Standard: 1.081.18 DC (at idle throttle opening)
CAUTION
Never drop the throttle sensor, especially on hard surfaceA shock to the sensor can damage it
After throttle sensor voltage inspectionremove the setting adapterIf the reading is out of the standard rangeinspect the throttle sensor resistance If the output voltage is normalcheck the wiring for continuity (see next diagram)
