Before reconnecting the hoses to the plastic breather fitting make sure the small hole [A], on top of the breather fitting is clear Reconnect the bilge hoses

Examine the impeller[A] If there is pitting, deep scratchesnicks or other damage, replace the impellerNOTE
OMinor nicks and gouges in the impeller blades can be removed with abrasive paper or careful filingSmooth leading edges are especially important to avoid cavitation
Steering
Steering CableShift Cable Inspection
Examine the steering cable or shift cable If each cable or cable housing is kinked or frayedreplace the cables If the each seal [A] at either end of each cable is damaged in any way, replace the cables
