2-2 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE Periodic Maintenance Chart
Frequency Description Check all hoses, hose clamps, nuts, bolts and fasteners Adjust carburetor Inspectreplace fuel filter Clean fuel filter screens Inspect fuel vent check valve Inspectclean flame arrester Inspect carburetor throttle shaft spring (replace carburetor if necessary) Inspectreplace coupling damper Flush cooling system (after each use in salt water) Flush bilge line and filter Inspect impeller blade for damage (remove) Inspect steering cable, and shift cable Lubricate handlebar pivot (disassemble) Inspect battery Clean and gap spark plugs (replace if necessary) Lubricate carburetor cable fitting, smart steering cable fitting and choke cable fitting at carburetor Lubricate smart steering cable, choke cable and smart steering cable fitting, throttle cable and throttle cable fitting at throttle case Lubricate steering cable, shift cable ball joints and steering nozzlereverse bucket pivots Initial 10 Hours Every 25 Hours Every 100 Hours See page 2-7, 2-21 2-8 10
