ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 13-9 Battery
Battery Removal
Remove: Engine Hood (see HullIEngine Hood chapter) Air Inlet Cover [A] (see Frame Arrester section in Fuel System chapter)

Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable [A] first, and then the positive (+) cableTo prevent possible personal injury and damage to electrical components, always disconnect the grounded cable firstUnhook the battery straps [B]
Carefully lift the battery [A] from the engine compartment as shown
