Bilge System Flushing
To prevent clogging, the bilge system should be flushed out according to the Periodic Maintenance Chart, or whenever you suspect it is blockedDisconnect both bilge hoses [A] at the plastic breather fittingConnect the bilge filter hoses (from the hull bottom) to the garden hoses, turn the water on, and flush it out for about minuteDuring this procedure, water will flow into the engine compartmentDo not allow large amount of water to accumulate in the engine compartmentRemove the drain screws in stern to drain the engine compartmentConnect the other hoses (from the hull bulkhead) to the garden hose, turn the water on, and flush it out for several minutesRemove the breather fitting (see Cooling and Bilge System chapter)Before reconnecting the hoses to the plastic breather fitting make sure the small hole [A], on top of the breather fitting is clearReconnect the bilge hoses
