14-36 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Ignition System
Water Temperature Sensor Input Voltage Check Disconnect the water temperature sensor [A] lead connectorSet the tester [B] to the DC 10 range, and connect it to the sensor connector [C] of the main harness side
Connections: Tester Positive RedYellow Lead
Turn the ignition switch on Check the tester reading
Tester Negative BlackWhite Lead
Water Temperature Sensor Input Voltage: around DC 5V
Check the above process within three minutesIf the tester reading does not show specified voltage, check the igniter input voltage between Orange lead and BlackWhite leadIf there is battery voltage between the leads, the igniter is defectiveSpecial ToolHand Tester: 57001-1394
