Reed Valve Inspection
reed warp measuring the Checkreed [B] andbythe valve holderclearance [A] between each [C]If any one of the clearance measurements exceeds the service limits, replace the reed with new oneCheck reed warp after installing new reedIf the clearance is correct, tight the mounting screws securelyReed Warp Service Limit: 0.2 mm (0.008 in
screw tightness Check the mountingreeds for cracks, folds, or other dam Visually inspect the ageIf there is any doubt as to the condition of reed, replace the reedIf reed becomes wavy, replace the reed with new one even if reed warp is less than the service limitInstall the reed and stop onto the reed valve holder, aligning the chamfered corner of the reed with that of the reed stop
