Inspection of Kawasaki Smart Steering System
8 Center the handlebar in the straight-ahead position Start the engine and allow it to an idle for seconds or above,
CAUTION
Do not run the engine without cooling water supply for more high revolutionary speed or than 15 seconds, especiallysevere engine and exhaust system damage will occur
Turn the handlebar all the way to the left or right, and check the engine
speed does not change, i.ethe engine maintain an idle Center the handlebar in the straight-ahead position Squeeze the throttle lever and allow it to approx4000 rprn or above for seconds or above
Release the throttle lever Within second, turn the handlebar all the way to the left or right and
check the engine speed increases to approx6000 rpm Center the handlebar in the straight-ahead position, and check the
engine speed dicreases to an idle speedIf the Kawasaki Smart Steering system does not operate normally, check the steering position sensor clearance
