Shift Cable Inspection
Examine the shift cable
3r Ifthe cable or cable housing is kinked or frayed, replace the cableIf the seal [A] at either end of the cable is damaged in any way, replace
the cable
Be certain that the cable moves freely in both directions Disconnect the ball joint at each end of the cable0 Slide the outer sleeve away from the ball slightly, and the cable lift
from the ball
Never lay the watercraft on the right sideWater in the exhaust system may drain back into the engine causing
0 Slide the inner cable back and forth [N in the cable housingIf the cable does not move freely, replace it
