Carefully spread the ring opening with your thumbs and then push up
on the opposite side of the ring [A]' to remove it
Assembly Notes
If any parts in the piston assemblies require replacement, or ilf the cylinder is replaced, be sure to check the critical clearances of the new parts against the values given in SpecificationsInstall the piston rings so that the "R" mark [A] faces upward as shown2 When the piston rings are reinstalled to the piston ring grooves reinstall them as follows for fittingTop Piston Ring Groove Top Piston Ring Second Piston Ring Second Piston Ring Groove
