Kawasaki Automatic Trim System (KATS)
The Kawasaki Automatic Trim System (KATS) is designed tor optimum low speed accelerationWith the automatic trim switch [A] set to the "ON" position, the trim control unit senses engine rpm, then controls the trim motorWhen the switch pushed in after the ignition switch is turned on, the LED indicator light [BI in the trim indicator comes on and the steering nozzle goes all the way downWhen the engine speed exceeds 000 rpm, the nozzle goes up to its level position and stays thereThe nozzle goes down when the engine speed is lower than 000 rpmYou can turn off the system either by pushing the switch in again or by operating Ihe trim switchThe red indicator tight shows that the system minutes after the is functioning.If the engine is not started within three switch is pushed in, the light goes off but the system stays onThe level sensing switch is added to the trim switch to ensure its level position-
