Connecting Rod Big End Radial Clearance
Chec big end radial clearance OSet the crankshaft in an alignment yg or on blocks, and place dial gauge against the connecting rod big endOPush the connecting rod ftrst towards the gauge and then in the opposite direction The difference between the two gauge readings is the radial clearance lIf the radial clearance exceeds the service limit, the crankshaft assembly must be replaced or disassembled and the crankpin, needle beanng, and connecting rod big end examined for wear
