Accelerator Pump
When throttle is opened quickly, the carburetor fuel mixture tends to momentarily become too lean This results from the fact that the fuel is of greater weight than air, and when the throttle is opened suddenly the flow of fuel will tag behind the flow of the air, resulting in lean mixture To supply the additional fuel needed to overcome this condition, small pump IS incorporated in the front carburetor
